steph is a pop soul, schooled in hip hop. her love of people led her to embrace the essential inclusivity of pop music, whilst the lyrics and content of the hip hop movement spoke to her social conscience. steph's professional expertise are rooted in marketing, branding and new media; underpinned by a background in songwriting and a masters in pop music research.
steph is committed to the humanitarian potential of music, and alongside her work as saltjam., she acts as communication consultant for the fish police, a pop-punk band of autistic musicians. she is currently focused on the potential for new models of alternative artist-led activity and independent media networks for the development and support of the artist <> audience relationship.
prior to saltjam., steph focused her work on the elevation of artists, holding roles at Universal Music in marketing and A&R, freelancing in artists services + tour managment, and co-founding the SOUTH LONDON famed club night 'BEspoke'. a pureveyor of grassroots movements and music's leaders alike, steph is an advocate of global music community.
